Why should I buy coffee from Napa Valley Coffee Roasting Company?
There are three questions you should ask any coffee roaster if you are serious about enjoying a great cup of coffee:
Is an owner actually roasting the coffee?
At least once and sometimes 4 nights a week one of our owners is roasting the beans that our customers enjoy.
What is the batch size of the roaster?
Our roaster is 12 kilo or ¼ bag roaster. Most commercial production roasters are considered small if they are twice the size of ours. The larger factory roasters are 350 kilo or 5 bagger roasters.
How often is the coffee roasted?
We roast our coffee from 4 to 6 nights a week in our St. Helena store.
How much coffee should I buy?
Ideally, buy what you would use in one week. Buying coffee in smaller amounts and more often will ensure you are always drinking the freshest possible coffee.
Should I buy whole bean or ground?
If you have a professional grade grinder, then you will enjoy great flavor from brewing coffee within 15 minutes of grinding. If you have a blade style grinder, it may produce an inconsistent particle size, and you will lose flavor.  We suggest that you try having the coffee ground at our shop and then taking it home.
