There are two questions you should ask any coffee roaster if you are serious about enjoying a great cup of coffee:

 


What is the batch size of the roaster?

Our roaster is 12 kilo or ¼ bag roaster. Most commercial production roasters are considered small if they are twice the size of ours. The larger factory "specality" roasters are 350 kilo or 5 bagger roasters. The standard deviation will get you every time. No matter what controls are used there are going to be beans outside of those controls. For flavor and cup excellence, the smaller the better.


How often is the coffee roasted?
We roast our coffee from 4 to 6 nights a week in our St. Helena store.
